Wan Fang Hospital has 743 beds, more than 350 full-time physicians, and over 2000 additional staff members. Because it is affiliated with Taipei Medical University, many doctors in training from the university complete internships at Wan Fang.

Located beside a major transit station in Taipei, Wan Fang has been operating since 1997 as Taiwan’s first publicly owned and privately operated hospital. In 2006, WFH received initial JCI accreditation, the first hospital in Taiwan to receive the award. JCI reaccredited the hospital in 2009 and 2012.

Wan Fang has 43 medical departments with specialists in every major category. Wan Fang is especially well-known for its neurosurgery, cardiology, and orthopedics departments; its Health Examination Center, and its specialty medical care centers such as its CyberKnife® Center, Cancer Center, Obesity Prevention Center, Infertility Treatment Center, Laser Cosmetic Center, and Burn Center.

The hospital has established an International Liaison Center for assisting foreign visitors. Available services include international medical service website, travel planning, lodging arrangements, direct admission, billing coordination, as well as assistance before, during, and after hospitalization.
